The 33rd Korean Culture Night
Tell Me A Story
The story for this year will be a modern retelling of a Korean folk tale. Focusing on the experiences of a single family, we hope to show more of the experiences of immigrants and Korean Americans, especially with regard to moving between different cultures. Through this year’s show, we hope to explore themes of separation, belonging, and filial piety while also emphasizing that our stories are not our own: we are working off of the foundation set by previous generations while also laying the groundwork for the next generation to build from.
